Job summary

Inspec Solutions in Florida is seeking an entry-level R&D Laboratory Technician to gain hands-on experience in cosmetic and personal care product development. Training will be provided, with prior industry experience preferred but not required.

You will perform raw material testing, adhere to SOPs, support OOS investigations, and help maintain CGMP-compliant lab operations, inventory, and cleanliness while meeting deadlines.

Job description

This is an entry-level R&D Laboratory Technician position designed for candidates who are interested in developing hands-on experience in the cosmetic and personal care manufacturing industry. Prior industry experience is preferred but not required, and training will be provided.

This position is primarily for processing formulations to meet and exceed client needs. Technician will be responsible for performing physical property testing and analytical testing. Constantly increasing knowledge of raw materials and formulations.

• Performs raw material, in-process and release testing using a variety of analytical techniques (FTIR, HPLC, GC, titrations, viscosity analysis, etc.)


• Follow SOPs and test methods.


• Maintain Good Documentation Practices as per written procedures


• Perform verifications and Review By as needed


• Support laboratory management in OOS investigations.


• Must be willing to work overtime as needed.


• Work on non-routine projects as directed.


• Maintain laboratory in a clean, CGMP compliant state


• Clean glassware, dispose of waste, inventory chemicals, and perform other housekeeping duties


• Adhere to testing and projects deadlines as assigned by R&D management


• Operate, maintain, and clean laboratory equipment


• Maintain laboratory inventory for current and future projects


• Handle hazardous materials and chemicals in a safe manner according to laboratory procedure

Preferred Experience

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in R&D


• Experience working in an FDA regulated laboratory.


• Experience in working in R&D lab or Quality lab environment

Pay Range: $18.00-$20.00 per hour, based on education, experience, and qualifications.
