Job summary

Arcwood Environmental is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform onsite laboratory sample analysis and report analytical data at a customer location. You will partner with the onsite Project Manager and Operations team to ensure proper testing and communication of results.

Key responsibilities include daily monitoring of formulations, recordkeeping, data entry, equipment calibration, and maintaining safety and quality control in accordance with company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's in chemistry or biology preferred.
• 1+ years of related laboratory or operations quality testing preferred.
• Must be clean shaven to don a respirator.

Responsibilities

• Maintain data entry and records for review by managers.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment and gas monitors.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Laboratory Technician As a Laboratory Technician you will be responsible for completing laboratory sample analysis onsite at a customer location. This role calculates, prepares and reports analytical data and partners with the onsite Project Manager and Operations team to ensure proper testing and results communication.

• Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times
• Monitors and tests process formulations and materials daily to ensure processes meet or exceed customer requirements
• Samples appropriate materials, and completes testing and recordkeeping for review by Project Manager and customer team; coordinates the retention and disposal of laboratory samples and waste per Company policy
• Prepares, records and completes data entry with accurate information and provides to relevant personnel in a timely manner
• Ensures all processes follow quality control plans and guidelines as established
• Evaluates data for deviations or trends not aligned with accepted standards
• Communicates with facility leadership and customer contacts regarding any product quality issues, trends, or observations that impact quality, operations or customer
• Completes data entry tasks such as process logs, work order notifications, or general recordkeeping and tracking in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Completes maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment and operations gas monitors; troubleshoots instrumentation as needed
• Conducts monthly inventory of all laboratory supplies, chemicals, personal protective equipment (PPE) for the laboratory and operations
• Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or biology (preferred)

Experience

• 1+ years of related laboratory or operations quality testing (preferred)

Additional Requirements:

Due to the potential exposure to atmospheres/waste/materials, this position requires individuals to be clean shaven at all times in order to don a respirator for protection
