Job summary

Arcwood Environmental is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform testing and provide reliable analytical services to Operations and customers in a timely manner.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related field, and has 1+ year of environmental/industrial laboratory experience. You will adhere to QA/QC practices, safety, documentation, and maintain laboratory equipment to support safe and compliant waste management. Strong teamwork is valued.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field is required.
  • 1+ year of environmental/industrial laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times.
  • Completes material analysis to determine characteristics and waste profiles of all incoming waste samples in accordance with laboratory operations and procedure manuals.
  • Completes analysis of samples from plant systems to confirm conformance with proper operating limits, and residual analysis from incineration processes to determine land disposal restrictions.
  • Operates and assists with the productive maintenance of laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
  • Utilizes and upholds good laboratory practices (e.g. QA/QC, safety, documentation, maintenance/minor repairs, housekeeping, professionalism).
  • Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization.
