Job summary

Renegade Brands USA, Inc. in Solon, OH is seeking a seasoned Laboratory Technician to anchor our bench operations alongside the Head of Technology and Chemist, driving formulation and testing from concept through launch.

You will own day-to-day bench work, design trials, troubleshoot issues, and ensure precise documentation, with responsibility for equipment, stock, and safety data sheets.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in Chemistry or a related science preferred; equivalent hands-on experience considered
• 5-10 years in a laboratory setting; detergent/consumer-products experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Independently develop and refine laundry detergent formulations at the bench, escalating only the toughest calls
• Design and run performance and stability trials, adapting protocols as needed, and record results precisely
• Write outcome reports and present findings to the technical team
• Take ownership of the laboratory — equipment upkeep and calibration, chemical stock, and documentation systems
• Prepare and review Safety Data Sheets, and lead labeling and certification paperwork
• Serve as the technical point of contact with suppliers and toll blenders on materials and samples
• Support the sales team with technical answers and in-depth benchmarking

Job description

Renegade Brands USA, Inc. develops high-performance, sustainable laundry detergents for the sports and commercial laundry markets. We are looking for a seasoned Laboratory Technician to anchor our bench operations. You will work at the bench alongside the Head of Technology and Chemist, driving day-to-day formulation and testing work, and troubleshooting issues on the fly. The role is broad: from the first idea to launch, and you are trusted to run large parts of it independently.

You spend most of your time at the bench, mastering SOP and Best Practices, and refining them where your experience says they can be improved.
