Hyperion Biotechnology, Inc. seeks a Part-Time Laboratory Technician to support our environmental laboratory operations by processing water samples for microbial analysis and ensuring data accuracy in the LIMS.

Responsibilities include recording data, preparing concise reports, and assisting with reagents and lab materials while maintaining cleanliness and safety procedures, and contributing to QA activities.

Competenze

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences from an accredited institution.
• Laboratory experience is preferred but not required.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Part-Time Laboratory Technician to support our environmental laboratory operations. This role focuses on processing customer water samples to detect microbial pathogens, ensuring data accuracy and adherence to standard protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory analyses on water samples using standardized operating procedures.
• Accurately record observations and test data into the laboratory information system (LIMS).
• Prepare concise reports summarizing findings and observations.
• Assist with the preparation and handling of reagents and laboratory materials.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness and safety according to established procedures.
• Monitor and document quality control and quality assurance activities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences from an accredited institution.
• Previous experience working in a laboratory setting is preferred but not required.

• Acclimate to varying noise levels and laboratory odors.
• Work in a lab environment with exposure to hazardous chemicals and microbiological agents (appropriate PPE will be provided).
