Florida Polytechnic University is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support instruction and research laboratories, ensuring safe operation of assigned spaces and clear communication with faculty. The role requires organization, writing and verbal skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
The technician will oversee lab setup, maintain equipment, manage inventory, and assist with safety training and compliance.

The department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Florida Polytechnic University is seeking applicants for the role of Laboratory Technician. The selected candidate will support both instruction and research laboratories duties. In addition, the applicant will ensure efficient and safe operation of assigned laboratories. The desired candidate must be organized, have good writing and oral communication skills, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. This position reports to the Chair of Electrical and Computer Engineering within Academic Affairs.
Must possess a valid driver’s license. This position requires a criminal background check. This position is subject to federal and state privacy regulations.
Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Occasional overtime (weekends and evenings) may be required. Must be willing to work flexible hours.
$23.22 to $24.52 an hour commensurate with experience.
The position is open until filled.
