Job description

PPG Industries, Inc. seeks a Laboratory Technician in Delaware, OH responsible for ensuring production process control, product quality, and administrative functions for the Resin Lab during a 12-hour, overnight shift.

Specific duties include:

1. Maintaining records, preparing and verifying shipping and receiving paperwork, Certificates of Analysis (CoA), lab results entries, and ensuring stocks of supplies and equipment.
2. Testing raw materials to ensure in-specification properties prior to receipt, as well as testing in-process and finished goods samples.
3. Calibration, verification, and maintenance of lab equipment, including process tank levels and accurate hose connections for bulk material transfers.

Qualifications:

• An associate's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Chemical Technology, or a related technical field, plus one (1) year of experience in a related position.
• At least one (1) year of laboratory experience with testing equipment and methods, including titration, gas chromatography (GC), and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). Experience can be concurrent.

Must be willing to work 12-hour, overnight shifts.
