Analytical Lab Technician, Mon-Thur (10 pm - 8 am)

Job Description:

The Role:

Our site in Chester, PA is seeking a 3rd shift Analytical Lab Technician III to join our team

to support our 24/5 manufacturing plant. In this role, you will independently perform duties related to quality control analysis for product release. Responsibilities include following existing test methods, maintaining analytical equipment, and providing analytical support for production of industrial and material science products, labeling chemicals, and maintaining laboratory inventory. You will also assist in method improvement, transfer, validation studies, and ensure proper documentation.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide timely routine analytical support using GC, GC/MS, HPLC, Titration, NMR, and other techniques to support manufacturing operations.

  • Follow work instructions for established methods.

  • Maintain a safe, organized work environment according to lab procedures.

  • Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, control charts, certifications, reports, and audits, including MSA and VQ documentation.

  • Aid in continuous improvement efforts for analytical methods to meet customer demand.

  • Track analytical job progress in Labware LIMS and manage sample queues.

  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and calibration.

  • Support lab practices and documentation per ISO 9001 standards.

  • Accurately document experiments and results.

  • Support other scientists as needed.

What We Seek:

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in science, ideally in chemistry or related fields.

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to work independently within a team.

  • Hands-on experience with analytical equipment such as HPLC, GC, GC/MS, NMR, and titration.

  • Self-motivated with good interpersonal skills and ability to interact cross-functionally.

  • Flexible and able to respond rapidly to new situations and tasks.

  • Good organizational and verbal communication skills.

  • Team player with integrity and concern for quality.

  • Certifications in Six Sigma, Semi, ISO, etc., are a plus.

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 & 17025 quality management standards.

  • Ability to test and analyze raw materials, in-process, and finished products promptly.

  • Good communication and coordination skills.

  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong independent operation skills and safety awareness.

  • Ability to learn new analytical techniques as required.
