Job summary

ForMotion Clinic is seeking a Lab Technician-I to support fabrication, maintenance, and repair of prosthetic and orthotic devices under clinician supervision.

You will ensure quality, maintain a clean lab, and adhere to safety protocols while contributing to patient care. A high school diploma and 0–2 years of hands-on experience are required; readiness for physical tasks and teamwork is essential.

  • 0–2 years of industrial or hands-on technical experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable with tools and physical labor.
  • Must be available during clinic operating hours and uphold policies with professionalism and fairness.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricates basic orthotic/prosthetic devices as instructed.
  • Performs routine maintenance and minor repairs on devices and tools.
  • Tests devices for movement, alignment, and basic stability.
  • Completes assigned work orders accurately and on time.
  • Maintains organized, clean lab workspace.
  • Adheres to all safety and quality procedures.

About The Role

A ForMotion Lab Technician-I supports the fabrication, maintenance, and repair of prosthetic and orthotic devices according to prescription and under the guidance of certified clinicians. Ensures work meets quality standards and maintains a clean, safe work environment.

What You’ll Do

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabricates basic orthotic/prosthetic devices as instructed.
  • Performs routine maintenance and minor repairs on devices and tools.
  • Tests devices for movement, alignment, and basic stability.
  • Completes assigned work orders accurately and on time.
  • Maintains organized, clean lab workspace.
  • Adheres to all safety and quality procedures.

Physical demands include lifting to 50+ lbs, dexterous hand use, standing, bending, and visual acuity (close, distance, color, depth perception).
