Job summary

ForMotion Lab is seeking a Lab Technician-I to assist in fabrication, maintenance, and repair of prosthetic and orthotic devices under clinician guidance. You will help ensure devices meet quality standards while maintaining a clean, safe lab environment.

You will operate under supervision, with 0–2 years of hands-on experience, and a strong focus on accuracy, teamwork, and patient-first service. This role requires physical work and standard lab tool usage.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 0–2 years of industrial or hands-on technical experience preferred.
• Comfortable with tools and physical labor.
• Able to work during clinic operating hours with professionalism and fairness.
• Strong patient-first mindset and teamwork orientation.

Responsibilities

• Fabricates basic orthotic/prosthetic devices as instructed.
• Performs routine maintenance and minor repairs on devices and tools.
• Tests devices for movement, alignment, and basic stability.
• Completes assigned work orders accurately and on time.
• Maintains organized, clean lab workspace and adheres to safety procedures.

About the Role

A ForMotion Lab Technician-I supports the fabrication, maintenance, and repair of prosthetic and orthotic devices according to prescription and under the guidance of certified clinicians. Ensures work meets quality standards and maintains a clean, safe work environment.

What You’ll Do

• Fabricates basic orthotic/prosthetic devices as instructed.
• Performs routine maintenance and minor repairs on devices and tools.
• Tests devices for movement, alignment, and basic stability.
• Completes assigned work orders accurately and on time.
• Maintains organized, clean lab workspace.

Who You Are

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of industrial or hands‑on technical experience (machine shop, auto repair, etc.).

• Physical demands include lifting to 50+ lbs, dexterous hand use, standing, bending, and visual acuity (close, distance, color, depth perception).
