Kelly Science has an immediate opening for aLaboratory Technician for our growing client near Beachwood, OH
Full-time
Hours; Mon-Fri 8am-5pm
Pay: $26-$28/hr

As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a crucial role in the development and testing of cutting-edge corrosion protection technologies. Working closely with our Laboratory Manager and a team of scientists and engineers, you’ll contribute to both laboratory and field-based research initiatives.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Preparing samples and conducting standardized corrosion and materials tests

• Maintaining laboratory equipment, chemicals, and safety protocols

• Recording accurate and detailed experimental data

• Assisting with field testing and analysis as needed

• Performing internet and library research for technical documentation

• Supporting report generation and documentation of test findings

• Upholding lab cleanliness, equipment calibration, and inventory

We’re looking for someone with a strong scientific foundation and a desire to learn and grow in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will bring:

• A Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering, etc.), or equivalent practical experience

• 0–5 years of professional lab experience (entry-level friendly!)

• Familiarity with laboratory chemicals, solvents, acids, bases, and proper handling procedures

• Comfort operating common lab instruments and performing routine procedures

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety and quality standards

• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

• Excellent organization and communication skills (written and verbal)

• A problem-solving mindset with critical thinking and analytical abilities
