Job summary

System One is seeking a Laboratory Technician for a full-time onsite role in Ashland, VA. The position is Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm, with compensation of $22–$30 per hour, commensurate with experience.

The successful candidate will perform routine lab tasks, prepare samples, and conduct chemical analyses using standard techniques. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and 1–3 years of experience, with familiarity in metals, ICP, GC, or related instrumentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Chemistry with lab experience required.
• 1-3 years of industry lab experience preferred.
• Experience with metals, ICP, GC or related instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine lab tasks to gain familiarity with methods and programs.
• Prepare samples using standard techniques.
• Perform chemical analysis using standard methods.
• Calculate data and maintain records.
• Report unusual test results to the supervisor.
• Conduct routine instrument maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine lab tasks that provide experience and familiarization with methods, practices and programs
• Prepares samples using standard techniques
• Performs chemical analysis using standard techniques
• Calculates data
• Records and reports data and any unusual test occurrences to the supervisor
• Performs routine instrument maintenance

Requirements

• Bachelor's required - chemistry preferred
• Industry experience with metals, ICP, GC, or other instrumentation, or research projects/internships involving metals/GC/instrumentation
• 1-3 years of experience
