Position Summary

Performs specimen collection via phlebotomy from patients at in-house or off-site locations. Also obtains other specimens as needed, instructs patients in collection procedures, and may enter pathology data into computerized systems. Tasks span all laboratory areas under supervision, requiring appropriate knowledge and training.

Minimum Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified phlebotomy technician
• Experience drawing blood or completed approved phlebotomy training
• Experience in a clinical laboratory environment
