UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL, seeks an expanded generalist laboratory technician to support chemistry, hematology, and coagulation testing during evening and night shifts. You’ll perform specimen prep, quality controls, and operate hospital information systems in a fast-paced setting.

Pay range: $15.00 - $24.00 / hour
Our core laboratory team provides evening and night shift coverage, and they play a vital role in delivering accurate, timely results for inpatient, emergency, and critical care services around the clock. In this expanded generalist role, you’ll support both chemistry, hematology, and coagulation testing, including general and special chemistry, hematology analysis, urinalysis, routine coagulation studies, peripheral smear review and cell identification, body fluid and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) cytospins, and urine sediment analysis.
