Cooper University Health Care in New Jersey is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to join our laboratory team. The role involves receiving specimens, processing tests, and ensuring accurate specimen handling for inpatient and outpatient work.

Candidates typically have 0–2 years of phlebotomy or related lab experience, a High School Diploma/GED, and CPT or CCMA certification is preferred. This on-site position supports our Cape May Court House location and broader network.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in a lab or phlebotomy setting.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) preferred.

Responsabilités

• Receives specimens and orders appropriate tests as prescribed; processes samples for laboratory testing using various computer applications.
• Checks for specimen integrity and proper specimen identification.
• Prints and distributes reports, answers telephone calls from customers including inpatient nurses/physicians and outpatient clients.
• Processes specimens for multiple Reference Labs.
