Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Two years in a clinical environment with data processing/specimen handling experience.
• A.S degree or equivalent preferred.
• Graduate of health/medical assistant or similar training program.
• Must meet CLIA 88 personnel requirements for moderate complexity testing.
• Ability to use Laboratory Information System.

Responsibilities

• Performs CLIA classified moderately complex laboratory testing under direct supervision.
• Recognizes and corrects instrument malfunctions.
• Performs testing designated by the department.
• Accurately completes work and reports results per SOPs.
• Prioritizes work to respond to STAT/Emergency requests.
• Assists in competency reviews and training.
