Job summary

SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital is seeking a Laboratory Support Technician to supervise assignments within the laboratory and serve as a resource for Lab Support Technicians. Primary responsibilities include phlebotomy and waived testing as needed, along with administrative tasks such as admissions, insurance verification, and order entry processing.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or 10 years of work experience.
• Two years’ experience as a Lab Support Technician.
• Current BLS HealthCare Provider certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and assign tasks within the lab and support technicians.
• Ensure daily workflow follows established procedures.
• Assist leadership on projects of medium complexity and size.
• May perform phlebotomy and waived testing as needed.
• Carry out administrative duties including admissions, insurance verification, and order entry processing.
