Job summary

Saint Luke's South Hospital in Overland Park, KS, seeks a Laboratory Supervisor to lead our laboratory operations under the Laboratory Manager. The role requires an Associate degree and phlebotomy certification within 6 months, with 2–4 years of experience preferred.

Work hours typically M-F 0600–1430, with possible night or weekend shifts to maintain staffing. The supervisor will hire, train, and supervise staff, manage scheduling, monitor performance, and ensure high standards of patient care

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required.
• Phlebotomy certification within 6 months required.
• 2–4 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations.
• Establishes and monitors key metrics for accurate and timely work of staff.
• Makes operational decisions to facilitate optimal workflow and patient care services.
• Serve as subject matter expert for clinical laboratory analysis and instrument operation.
• Hires, trains and supervises staff.
• Manages scheduling and timekeeping for staff.
• Evaluates staff performance.
• Maintains strong technical skills for area of oversight.
