Job summary

Sanford Health in Rapid City, SD is seeking a Laboratory Manager to oversee pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical testing. This role provides day-to-day leadership of the laboratory and acts as the liaison between technical staff and leadership.

You will ensure safety, quality and regulatory compliance, supervise staff, participate in validations and performance appraisals, and collaborate across departments to optimize workflow and patient care.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Laboratory or Biological Sciences required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Two years of laboratory related experience required.
• National laboratory certification or laboratory specialty certification (e.g., ASCP) or registry eligible with certification within 12 months of hire.
• If working in North Dakota, must be licensed or have a provisional license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phases of testing.
• Provide day-to-day leadership of the laboratory and coordinate staff.
• Ensure safety, quality and regulatory compliance across the lab.
• Collaborate with other departments and participate in staff training and evaluations.
