Job description

As a QC Laboratory Supervisor working onsite in Delaware, OH, you will be responsible for a variety of laboratory operations in quality control and research settings. In the QC team, you will manage a team of technicians in the pursuit of sample validation, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement. Reporting directly to the QC Lab Manager, you will be a role model, facilitator for the technicians, and driver of strategic plans at the laboratory level.

Key Responsibilities

1. Execute daily allocation of resources among the QC team.
2. Drive team performance and develop accountability mechanisms to support feedback.
3. Identify support requirements across multiple departments and help achieve strategic goals.
4. Facilitate and support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities.
5. Identify and scope opportunities for process improvements.
6. Collaborate with other QC lab supervisors to identify opportunities across different work areas.
7. Lead daily meetings with technicians.
8. Address and facilitate the fulfillment of the needs of technicians, the QC team, and physical resources of the lab.
9. Understand and maintain compliance with Delaware's Quality Management System requirements.
10. Maintain and complete personal and team development plans.
11. Contribute to departmental action items as assigned.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Chemical Engineering.
2. At least 2 years of professional experience in a laboratory setting.
3. Experience in leading people is required.
4. Willingness to work additional overtime as needed.
5. Strong understanding of ISO and IATF quality management systems.
