Actalent is hiring for Laboratory Sanitation/Sterilization Technicians in a pharmaceutical laboratory environment. The role focuses on keeping the cleanroom sterilized, requiring full gowning when entering/exiting rooms.

Ideal candidates have 6+ months of experience in a sterilization or sanitation role with PPE and strict regulatory experience. 2nd shift: 2:30pm–11:30pm, Monday–Friday, with potential overtime.

Responsibilities

• Train and oversee other aseptic cleaners.
• Perform additional oversight duties as needed.

Job description

We are currently hiring for multiple Laboratory Sanitation/Sterilization Technicians in a pharmaceutical laboratory environment. This is a long-term career opportunity that will include PTO, holiday pay, and other benefits!

This role will be working in a pharmaceutical/biotech laboratory environment and will primarily focus on keeping the cleanroom laboratory sterilized; candidates will have to fully gown up when going in and out of rooms.

An ideal candidate will have at least 6+ months of experience working in a sterilization, sanitation, or similar cleaning environment that requires the use of PPE and/or following heavy regulations (examples may include sanitation in manufacturing or GMP regulated environments, cleaning in certain hospital settings such as surgery rooms, sterile processing, etc.). Experience MUST include the use of PPE and/or following strict regulations.

Shift

2nd shift, 2:30pm - 11:30pm, Monday - Friday (need some flexibility to work overtime as needed)

Description

• The Laboratory Sanitation/Sterile Technician plays a critical role in assuring sanitary conditions of the controlled areas of manufacturing pharmaceuticals and related medical products.
• Performs sanitary cleaning duties of equipment and working stations, ensuring that everything meets necessary regulations.
• Keep the cleanroom sterilized so nothing gets cross contaminated in the pharmaceuticals.
• Maintains accurate and complete inventory of cleaning supplies ensuring supplies are never depleted.
• Trains and oversees other Aseptic Cleaners.
• Performs other oversight duties.

Qualifications

• MUST have at least a high school diploma or GED.
• MUST have at least 6+ months of experience performing sanitation/cleaning in a regulated environment.
• Examples of regulated may include, but are not limited to: pharmaceutical or food manufacturing environments, cleaning surgery rooms in a hospital, etc.
• Regular janitorial experience without regulated experience and strict PPE requirements would not meet the qualifications (such as cleaning just office buildings, schools, etc.)
• Would also consider candidates who don't have cleaning experience, but have experience working in a sterile/cleanroom lab

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Columbus, OH.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
