Actalent is hiring for a pharmaceutical Operator!!!

The Pharmaceutical Operator plays a key role in manufacturing by operating production equipment, executing tasks according to standard operating procedures (SOPs), and maintaining accurate Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) documentation. This role supports blending, coating, spraying, and packaging operations while performing in-process checks and contributing to a clean, compliant, and efficient production environment.

Responsibilities
  • Operate a variety of production equipment, including blending tanks, coating machines, packaging machines, balances, calipers, tachometers, moisture balances, and related tools.
  • Execute manufacturing operations such as blending, coating, spraying, and packaging in strict accordance with predetermined SOPs and batch records.
  • Perform in-process checks as required and outlined in SOPs and batch records to ensure product quality and process compliance.
  • Follow the established production schedule and adjust work priorities as needed to meet manufacturing timelines and output targets.
  • Complete batch documentation and associated GMP documentation accurately and legibly, including logbooks, forms, and batch records.
  • Carry out equipment cleaning and sanitization activities to maintain a controlled and compliant production environment.
  • Adhere to cleanroom protocols, including proper gowning procedures, to support contamination control and product safety.
  • Support quality checks throughout the production process and promptly report any deviations or issues.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth production flow and participate in cross-training across different manufacturing areas as needed.
Essential Skills
  • Experience operating production equipment such as blending tanks, coating machines, packaging machines, balances, calipers, tachometers, and moisture balances in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to understand and execute tasks against predetermined SOPs for manufacturing operations including blending, coating, spraying, and packaging.
  • Proficiency in performing in-process checks as defined in SOPs and batch records to support quality control.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete batch documentation and GMP documentation, including logbooks, forms, and batch records, with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience with equipment cleaning and sanitization activities in a regulated production setting.
  • cleanroom production and batch record handling within the pharmaceutical or equivalent industry.
  • High school diploma or appropriate experience in a pharmaceutical or equivalent industry role.
  • Previous experience with gowning procedures and cleanroom protocols.
  • Understanding of GMP principles and their application in daily manufacturing activities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is a plus.
  • Experience in quality checks within pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing environments.
  • Hands-on experience with coating processes in a regulated production setting.
  • Prior work experience in the pharmaceutical industry or medical device industry.
Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Stratford, CT.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
