Job summary

Pfizer in New Haven, CT is seeking a Laboratory Specimen Shipping and Processing Coordinator to manage end-to-end handling of clinical samples, ensuring DOT/IATA compliance and accurate tracking. You will collaborate with Lab Project Coordinators and safety staff to support processing, labeling, and storage while maintaining inventory and communication with internal teams.

The role may involve CLIA waived testing after training, with a focus on quality assurance, audits, and timely issue

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a science-related field required.
• Knowledge of national and international specimen shipping regulations and biohazard requirements.
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in pharmaceutical, hospital, or medical research.
• Working knowledge of GxP, GCP, CAP, and CLIA/COLA regulations.
• Working knowledge of computers and laboratory data handling acquisition systems and Word.
• Strong ability to collaborate across teams and support quality initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end processing, packaging, labeling, shipping, tracking, and confirmation of clinical samples in DOT/IATA-compliant manner.
• Maintain inventory for shipping, processing and storage of samples.
• Enter send out results as performed.
• Provide approaches to resolving problems in Safety or Biomarker Labs during assays.
• May perform CLIA waived laboratory testing after appropriate training.
