Job summary

Sonic Reference Laboratory, Inc in Austin, TX is seeking candidates for a full-time laboratory operations role on the 2nd shift. You will verify shipper samples, log receipts, route issues, and perform data entry in a fast-paced clinical lab environment.

Ideal applicants hold an Associate degree or Phlebotomy certification with strong reading and typing skills, and a focus on accuracy and patient care. Benefits and growth opportunities are provided.

Responsibilities

• Open and verify shipper sample types and ensure containers are not empty.
• Complete specimen receipt logs.
• Forward problematic samples/orders to exception handling.
• Identify issues (ordering, labeling, specimen).
• Aliquoting of samples.
• Shipping to other referral labs.
• Data entry.

SHIFT 1: 3:00am - 11:30pm; Tuesday-Saturday

In this role, you will:

• Open and verify check shipper sample types and ensure empty


• Complete Specimen receipt logs


• Specimen Receipt and forward problem samples/orders to exception handling


• Identify Issues (Ordering, Labeling, Specimen)


• Aliquoting of samples


• Shipping to other Referral Labs


• Data Entry

All you need is:

• Associate Degree or Phlebotomy Certification with High School Diploma


• Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills


• Typing proficiency, including 10-key


• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Bonus points if you've got:

• Bachelor's Degree in a biological science or certification in a medical program technologist program


• 2+ years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing


• Data entry experience in a laboratory production environment
