Job summary

Sonic Reference Laboratory, Inc in Austin, TX is seeking a Laboratory Specimen Processor I for the 2nd shift. This full-time role offers a sign-on bonus, competitive benefits, and growth opportunities.

You will open and verify shipper samples, log receipts, route issues for resolution, and handle aliquoting and shipping to referral labs. Candidates should have an Associate Degree or Phlebotomy Certification with a HS diploma, plus strong reading, writing, and 10-key typing skills.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or phlebotomy certification required with high school diploma.
• Strong reading, writing and analytical skills; fast data entry.
• 2+ years lab experience and specimen processing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Open and verify check shipper sample types and ensure samples are valid.
• Complete specimen receipt logs and forward issues to exception handling.
• Identify issues with ordering/labeling/specimens and perform aliquoting.
• Ship samples to referral labs and perform data entry in the system.
