Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is seeking a detail-oriented registrar/lab support role to register, order, receive and process laboratory specimens with accuracy and timeliness.

You will work within EPIC and LIS to ensure correct billing and specimen handling, while delivering compassionate patient, family, and staff service. The position emphasizes meticulous data entry, strong organizational skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with laboratory procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of clerical experience.
• Data entry skills above 100 net keystrokes per minute.
• Proficient in keyboarding and data entry tasks.

Responsibilities

• Register and order patient accounts accurately in the EPIC/LIS systems with attention to correct patient identification and payer information.
• Provide courteous, respectful client communication and ensure timely lab processing and result delivery.
• Receive and label specimens, ensure proper handling and labeling per protocol.
• Sort and deliver specimens to testing locations, ensuring specimen integrity and proper handling.
