Responsibilities include accurate EPIC/LIS order placement, specimen labeling, and coordinating with clinicians while maintaining confidentiality and quality standards across shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate.
• Keyboard/Data entry skills.
• Organizational skills.
• Minimum 1-year clerical experience.
• Data Entry speed over 100 keystrokes/min.

Responsibilities

• Register, order, receive and process specimens; ensure billing accuracy.
• Accurately place and release orders in EPIC and LIS; resolve issues.
• Provide courteous client support and protect patient confidentiality.
• Communicate with physicians, providers and staff regarding tests.
• Manage call-back queues and document issues for quality programs.
• Operate office equipment for access and distribution of lab results.
• Receive, label and track specimens; ensure proper safety procedures.
• Sort and transport specimens to testing locations promptly.
• Support testing and specimen collection activities as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
