Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Lab Assistant to join our Lakewood, CO team. This casual/per diem role involves receiving and sorting clinical lab specimens, preparing them for testing, data entry, and maintaining equipment in a fast-paced lab environment.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, with preferred healthcare or Labcorp experience and at least one year in healthcare, production, or clinical labs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Preferred: Labcorp experience.
• 1 year or more of experience in healthcare industry (physician's office, clinic or hospital).
• 1 year of experience in an assembly or manufacturing production environment.
• 1 year or more of experience in a medical/clinical laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis
• Scan and data entry of specimen and patient information
• Ensure lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance
• Troubleshoot any specimen related issues
• Replenish test bench supplies as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards
