Job summary

Providence St. Joseph Hospital Orange is seeking a Supervisor Laboratory to lead Phlebotomy Services across Inpatient, Outpatient, and Pavilion Patient Service Center.

The role focuses on development, oversight, and daily operations, guiding staff to deliver accurate specimen processing and timely phlebotomy services. The ideal candidate has 3 years of phlebotomy experience with leadership exposure and holds the appropriate California Phlebotomy license or equivalent CLS / immunohematology

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Phlebotomy program or equivalent educ/experience.
• California Phlebotomy Technician License I/II or Clinical Laboratory Scientist License or related California licenses required at hire.
• 3 years of specimen processing and/or phlebotomy with 3 of the 5 years as a lead or supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development, daily operations and oversight of Phlebotomy Services across Inpatient, Outpatient and Pavilion Patient Service Center.
• Supervise personnel and coordinate activities to ensure efficient phlebotomy workflows.
• Promote team concept and align activities with Providence Health System mission.
• May be assigned to special projects per Manager to meet strategic and operational goals.
