Job summary

Senior Laboratory Assistant at Providence St. Joseph Hospital Orange in Orange, CA, is a full-time night-shift role.

The Sr Lab Assistant ensures accurate draw, receipt, centrifugation and delivery of specimens to the appropriate departments and reference labs. Ideal candidates have California Phlebotomy Technician I or II license and at least 1 year of related lab experience, preferably with specimen processing and instrument handling.

Qualifications

• California Certified Phlebotomy Technician I or II license upon hire.
• 1 year experience as a Phlebotomist or Lab Assistant performing blood specimen collections and processing.
• Experience in specimen handling, centrifugation and loading onto laboratory instruments.

Responsibilities

• Draw, receive and deliver blood specimens to appropriate departments and labs.
• Perform centrifugation and processing of specimens.
• Assist in processing in Chemistry, Hematology, Pathology and related lab areas; basic instrument maintenance.
