Qualifications

  • Masters preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in medical technology or related sciences required.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of work experience in a hospital setting is required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in a hospital setting is necessary.
  • Licensure: Florida State Laboratory Supervisor's License. Certified by a national regulatory agency (ASCP) preferred.

  • Compliance & Safety: Maintain adherence to CLIA and hospital accreditation standards, correcting any inspection deficiencies.

  • Clinical Consultation: Advise physicians and medical staff on interpreting complex test results and selecting proper diagnostic procedures.
  • Financial & Administrative: Manage departmental budgets, equipment acquisition, and validation of new testing methods.

Description: Purpose: manages all clinical lab operations, ensures regulatory compliance, and provides medical or scientific leadership. They oversee testing accuracy, manage budgets and staff, and consult with doctors on patient results.

What you will do
