University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, Department of Physiology and Biophysics, is seeking entry to senior Laboratory Science Professionals to perform duties in wet labs, handle chemicals, and support various research projects.

The role spans levels from entry to senior, with responsibilities including collaboration with PIs, performing experiments, data analysis, and ensuring lab readiness and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics or related field (or substituted education/experience as allowed)
• Entry level: combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may substitute for the bachelor’s degree on a year-for-year basis
• Intermediate level: plus one year professional level research experience
• Senior level: plus two years professional level research experience

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Principal Investigators and stakeholders on laboratory and research functions
• Utilize laboratory techniques required for research projects
• Perform experiments and tabulate and analyze research results
• Support analytical testing including sample preparation, documenting results and communicating findings
• Prepare lab for daily operations including stocking materials, equipment and safety
• Provide animal care related to research studies as necessary
• Transport and maintain results, samples, and documents
• Review and process logs and related information
• Assist in developing and implementing lab policies and procedures
