We are looking for a Laboratory Sanitation Technician in 3688 Kinsman BLVD, Madison, WI 53704 USA. Your mission will be to:


Responsibilities of Position:
* Wash containers used in analysis.
* Maintain a safe clean work area around the sink.
* Maintain clean laboratory by discarding waste and cleaning and sanitizing countertops, walls, floors, shelves, equipment, sinks, water baths etc
using cleaning solvents.
* Maintain a clean laboratory by properly storing chemicals, reagents and supplies. Maintain adequate stock of these materials.
* Organize laboratory glassware and plastics.
* Decontaminate laboratory materials through the use of the autoclave.
* Support corporate quality and continuous improvement process.
* This position has the responsibility and authority to identify departures from the quality system or test procedures and document such observations
in accordance with the prescribed complaint system
* Perform other related duties as needed.
At any time, the incumbent must behave and operate in an ethical and Code of Conduct compliant manner.

YOUR PROFILE


High school diploma or equivalent required

-Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly is required for this position
-Physical dexterity is required for manipulating equipment.
-A basic knowledge of personal computers is useful to accurately enter testing data and results.
-A basic knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and policies is useful to ensure a safe working environment.
-Planning skills are useful to maintain supplies of analysis materials and ensure supplies are completed within specified time
-This position requires the ability to follow specific instructions.

The incumbent performs routine tasks that follow established procedures. The incumbent uses knowledge of the area and the advice of the supervisor to solve problems. Established guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures provide information to determine the correct preparation techniques.

The incumbent works in a laboratory with proper lighting and temperature control. Occasional exposure to laboratory fumes, chemicals, and materials will occur when in the laboratory. The incumbent works in a laboratory with increased temperatures near the autoclave and washer. Safety equipment of gloves, laboratory coat and eyeglasses may need to be worn. Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds may be necessary. The incumbent can expect extended time spent in a standing position.

Schedule: Sunday -Thursday Noon - 8 PM

Pay: $17/hr

No previous sanitation experience required, all training onsite
