Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience in healthcare billing, revenue cycle, laboratory support, or related healthcare field.
• Preferred: Three (3) years of experience in healthcare billing, revenue cycle, laboratory support, or related healthcare field. Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Charge capture and billing support: review charges and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Monitor charge capture and billing work queues; resolve routine edits and exceptions.
• Identify missing or incorrect charges and coordinate corrections.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies with appropriate teams.
• Perform routine charge capture and billing audits and report trends or issues.
• Support third-party and reference laboratory billing by ensuring accurate demographic, order, charge, and billing information.
• Invoice and client support: reconcile reference lab invoices and prepare outreach client invoices.
• Research billing inquiries and coordinate resolutions with relevant teams.
• Identify recurring billing issues and report to leadership.
• Comply with procedures, payer requirements, and organizational policies.
