- Collect, label, and store petroleum product and chemical samples according to established procedures and regulatory requirements
- Ensure sample retention activities meet environmental, health, and safety (EHS) requirements
- Retrieve and prepare retain samples for testing or inspection
- Coordinate with laboratory staff on proper sample storage and documentation
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations
- Maintain sample retain storage areas and ensure adequate supplies
- Pick up samples from local offices as needed
- Perform other job duties as defined
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a laboratory setting, a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including exposure to chemicals and laboratory hazards
- Good vision required to read and label sample containers and interpret documentation clearly
