Position Overview

The Laboratory Research Technician III performs independent laboratory work and experiments, including determining experimental protocols, preparing specimens and cultures, and developing documentation for publications and grant proposals. The role involves overseeing specimen inventory and analyzing experimental data.

Essential Functions

1. Perform, analyze, and interpret mammalian cell culture and molecular biology experiments, including cell passaging, western blotting, extracellular vesicle isolation, multiplex assays, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, processing human tumor specimens and liver cells, and operating multi-organ-on-a-chip systems.
2. Conduct experiments with mice, involving preparing cancer cell treatments, injections, monitoring, and end-point surgeries.
3. Apply strong mathematical skills such as dilutions, ratios, and molarity.
4. Demonstrate excellent organization, communication, and planning skills.

Physical Effort

This position is primarily sedentary, with some walking between laboratories.
