Job summary

Weill Cornell Medicine's Joshua Levitz Lab on the Upper East Side seeks a Research Technician I to assist with laboratory and investigative procedures, including assays and imaging. You may work with animal models and/or human subjects under supervision.

The role involves preparing detailed records, performing molecular biology steps, analyzing data, and supporting faculty and students. A Bachelor's degree is required with a two-year commitment anticipated.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field such as biology or life sciences.
• Experience with laboratory record-keeping and data analysis.
• Ability to follow procedures and work under supervision in a lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain detailed records, logs and reports of procedures and results.
• Perform tissue & cell culture and basic molecular biology techniques such as PCR and electrophoresis.
• May work with animal models and/or human subjects as part of research activities.
• Analyze data using computer software and report results to investigators.
• Provide technical support and training to staff and students.
