MetroHealth Medical Center seeks a dedicated professional to facilitate quality assessment activities within Laboratory Services, focusing on patient safety, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement.
The role ensures testing aligns with CLIA, CAP, and TJC standards, trains staff and residents, and contributes to continuous procedure improvements while collaborating with diverse teams across the MetroHealth System.

Shift: 5 days per 2 week period. 12N - 8:30p

Serves as a facilitator of quality assessment activities for Laboratory Services to include patient safety initiatives, regulatory and accreditation compliance, laboratory safety and performance improvement. Ensures all testing performed adheres to departmental and system guidelines, quality control standards, Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) regulations, College of American Pathologists (CAP), The Joint Commission Accreditation (TJC) Standards, and other accrediting agencies. Identifies and recommends improvements in operating procedures. Provides training to laboratory staff and residents. Cooperates with a diverse group of people and skill levels in performing daily operational tasks. Upholds departmental policies and the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of the MetroHealth System.
