Job summary

Vanderbilt Health is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to oversee clinical laboratory and laboratory support functions within the VIPMS laboratories. The role ensures compliance with CLIA and OSHA, coordinates activities across laboratories, and supports staff development and process improvement.

Responsibilities include policy updates, interfacing with health records systems, audits for regulatory adherence, and maintaining standardized lab equipment and procedures to deliver high-quality patient

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required for this role.
• 3 years of relevant laboratory supervisory experience.
• Certifications: Cytotechnologist - ASCP; Histotechnician - ASCP; Histotechnologist - ASCP; LIC-Licensed Medical Laboratory Supervisor - Tennessee Medical Lab Board; Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technician - ASCP.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities of one or more laboratories to ensure unified operation.
• Oversee CLIA and OSHA compliance and inspections.
• Maintain health record interfaces and lab equipment standards.
• Ensure CAP testing is performed and results reviewed with staff.
