The role requires managing resources, training staff, and aligning activities with customer requirements while representing the company culture in a leadership capacity.

Qualifications

• Leads lab operations and team in a divisional office.
• Ensures safe training and maintains competency records.
• Manages lab budget and cost controls.
• Champions quality systems, calibrations, QA and training.
• Represents company policies and culture in leadership.

Responsibilities

• Ensure lab staff have resources to perform all tasks.
• Maintain safety training and competency records.
• Enforce corporate policies in the laboratory.
• Manage lab profits, costs and expenses to meet budget.
• Drive quality system improvements and corrective actions.
• Maintain open communication to promote empowerment and accountability.
• Understand local market requirements and customer needs.
• Coordinate lab procedures, staffing and schedules to meet testing requirements.
• Support ISO certifications and corrective actions.
• Review operations as part of continuous improvement.
• Handle disciplinary matters with HR and management.
• Represent Bureau Veritas with professional conduct and compliance.
• Ensure lab practices meet company policies and industry standards.
• Enforce quality and safety policies.
• Occasionally perform duties of Lab Supervisor or Technicians.
• Set work schedules to meet testing requirements and control costs.
• Actively market for new clients.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
