Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. in Rahway, NJ is seeking a Specialist, Laboratory Operations & Logistics to support laboratory workflows, procurement, and inventory control on-site.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Life Sciences, Engineering, or equivalent field, with minimum 6 years in office or lab ops management.
• Experience coordinating complex scheduling across multiple stakeholders and teams.
• Advanced computer skills including MS Outlook, Teams, Project, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform general laboratory administrative duties including equipment maintenance scheduling, ordering supplies, and facilities management.
• Maintain development and GXP laboratory equipment and instrumentation per standards.
• Support procurement: purchase orders, invoice payments, and expense tracking.
• Track inventory, ensure traceability, and manage incoming/outgoing shipments and transfers.
• Assist with staging for development studies and collaborate with lab, engineering, and operations teams.
