Job summary

LCMC Health seeks a qualified Medical Laboratory Director/Manager to oversee daily laboratory operations in our Louisiana facilities. The role requires ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining quality control, and directing staff training and performance evaluations.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience as a medical technologist.
• Bachelor's Degree From accredited college, university or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintains competency to cover bench duties as needed.
• Operates, calibrates, troubleshoots and maintains lab equipment and instrumentation.
• Performs and supervises new employee orientation and training for staff competency.
• Supervises laboratory section employees including performance evaluations.
• Oversees daily lab operations and manages workflow for efficiency and productivity.
• Reviews QC data and ensures tests are run under established specifications.
• Participates in department and hospital committees and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Manages inventory and assists with budget planning and department goals.
