Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital in Georgia is seeking an experienced Laboratory Supervisor to oversee daily operations of the laboratory section, ensure accurate testing and timely reporting, and maintain compliance with policy and procedure.

The role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, ASCP/AMT/AAB certification, and at least 3 years of clinical experience including supervisory responsibilities; preference for acute care settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or closely related field is required.
• ASCP/AMT/AAB certification required; AAB provisional certification not accepted.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision of daily operations of the laboratory section and/or area.
• Oversee maintenance of analyzers, quality control, specimen collection, and supplies in accordance with standards and procedures.
• Provide recommendations and action plans for improvement of system processes within the section/area.
