Job summary

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related field, ASCP certification, and several years of clinical experience with supervisory responsibilities in an acute care setting. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or closely related field is required.
• Other bachelor's degrees accepted if qualifying coursework meets certifying agency requirements.
• ASCP certification pathway accepted for those certified before degree requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the laboratory section/area.
• Supervise procedures and tests as ordered for diagnosis and treatment.
• Ensure maintenance of analyzers and quality control.
• Oversee collection of specimens and maintaining of supplies per standards.
• Provide recommendations and action plans to improve system processes.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or closely related field is Required

Other bachelor's degrees accepted if requirements met by certifying agency; ASCP certified pre-degree pathway or HEW/HSS technologist certifications considered
