Job summary

Labcorp seeks a Laboratory Supervisor in Hollywood, FL to lead the day-to-day operations of the department, ensure accurate test results, and supervise staff. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a chemical/biological science or Medical Technology, 5+ years of lab testing experience, and a Florida supervisor license.

Work schedule is Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with overtime as needed. Labcorp offers growth opportunities, exposure to high-volume lab operations, and compliance with CLIA,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical/biological science or medical technology.
• 5+ years of clinical laboratory testing experience.
• Florida Supervisor license, Core lab.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations of the department.
• Ensure tests are accurate and results reported timely.
• Directly supervise, train, and mentor laboratory personnel.
• Monitor workflow and schedule adequate assay coverage.
• Ensure all shifts are properly staffed.
• Resolve production errors and escalate when needed.
• Engage in process and service level improvements.
• Maintain equipment through Quality Control.
• Prepare Quality Assurance records and documents.
• Evaluate new process improvements and make recommendations.
• Coach direct reports and provide developmental feedback.
• Perform bench work as needed and maintain competency.
• Ensure compliance with state and Federal regulations.
• Administer policies and procedures.
• Process and maintain payroll and personnel files.
• Perform administrative duties as needed.
