Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in MLS or related field.
• 10+ years supervising clinical laboratory sections.
• Strong expertise in hematology and/or clinical chemistry.
• New York State CLT license required.
• ASCP MT/MLS certification preferred.
• Experience overseeing regulatory compliance and QA.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Main Hospital Rapid Results Lab.
• Provide technical leadership in hematology and/or clinical chemistry.
• Mentor and develop laboratory staff through scheduling, training, and evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safety policies.
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams to support patient care.
• Lead quality assurance, process improvement, and workflow optimization.
• Oversee instrumentation, maintenance, inventory, and supplies.
• Support budgeting, resource planning, and financial management.
• Maintain regulatory readiness and proficiency testing oversight.
