ARMStaffing is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to join our clinical team in Hebron, Nebraska. You will contribute to patient care by performing and overseeing lab tests, maintaining equipment, and ensuring CLIA-compliant operations.

The role requires an Associate's degree in Medical Technology or MLS, and ASCP or AMT certification. You will work 4–10 hour shifts with on-call rotation, collaborate with medical staff, and participate in proficiency testing and quality control.

• Full range of body motion including manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination.

Job Description

This position contributes to the fulfillment of our vision and mission by exercising appropriate judgment based on knowledge and skills, participating in all aspects of the laboratory department.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and perform laboratory services in accordance with CLIA standards and established budgets.
• Adhere to test methods ensuring accurate test performance and quality results for patient testing.
• Participate in proficiency testing and problem identification and correction.
• Validate and enter written orders into the laboratory information system (LIS).
• Coordinate with reference labs for high-quality testing and timely reporting.
• Collect specimens from patients and perform tests in various laboratory areas.
• Monitor testing procedures and ensure acceptable levels of analytical performance.
• Participate in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliations.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure cleanliness in work areas.
• Adhere to compliance, quality assurance, and quality control programs.
• Work closely with medical staff to maintain quality service and communication.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Associate's Degree in Medical Technology or Medical Laboratory Science.
• ASCP or AMT professional certification required and must maintain proper standing.
• Full range of body motion including manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
• Visual acuity and normal color perception are mandatory.

Schedule

This position involves 4-10 hour shifts per week, with varied start times between 6 AM and 8 AM, and 1-2 nights of on-call rotation weekly.
