Job summary

PathGroup in Columbus, Georgia is seeking an AP/CP Board-Ccertified Pathologist to join an established hospital-based pathology practice. There is also an opportunity to be the Laboratory Medical Director if desired.

The ideal candidate is a strong general surgical pathologist who collaborates with clinicians, lab professionals and hospital leadership to deliver exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
• AP/CP Board Certification required
• Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Georgia
• Strong diagnostic and communication skills
• Prior leadership or laboratory medical directorship experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic services in anatomic and clinical pathology
• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with laboratory leadership to support operational excellence
• Serve as a clinical resource for physicians, hospital staff, and laboratory personnel
• Participate in multidisciplinary conferences, committee work, and other medical staff activities as appropriate
