Overview

Medical Director, Laboratory – Trinitas Regional Medical Center, Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. The department oversees all anatomic and clinical laboratory services at a 554‑bed Level II trauma center in Trenton, New Jersey.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the overall leader of the pathology laboratory, overseeing all aspects of laboratory operation.
• Develop and direct laboratory activities, working with managers, supervisors, and senior technologists.
• Provide clinical direction, including laboratory oversight, test validation, and maintenance of College of American Pathologists accreditation.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert and consultant, collaborating closely with physicians and other health‑care providers.
• Consult with clinical staff and participate in tumor board meetings.
• Apply general pathology expertise and, ideally, subspecialty experience in cytopathology.

Qualifications

• MD, DO, or MBBS required.
• Board certification or board eligibility in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
• Experience in a CAP‑accredited laboratory desirable.
