Job summary

Desert View Hospital, a rural 25-bed acute care facility, seeks a Lab Manager to direct and coordinate all general laboratory sections, including hematology, chemistry, and Blood Bank. You will monitor reporting, QC/QA, staffing, and inventory, while ensuring CAP and State inspection readiness across multiple sites.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with NV board certification, and at least three years of leadership in an acute care lab.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field with Board certification recognized by NV.
• Three years laboratory leadership experience in acute care hospital.
• State of Nevada General Supervisor license/certification.
• Proficiency with Cerner LIS and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee all general laboratory sections including specimen collection and hematology.
• Monitor test reporting, quality control, quality assurance, policies, and staffing.
• Coordinate with other departments and manage staffing, training, and oversight.
• Maintain CAP and State inspection readiness; ensure cost containment.
• Oversee multiple locations under Laboratory Administrative Director and Medical Director.
